Broke*

Broke is the title of the documentary that I’ve been working on for a while now.  The basic concept is examining the question of whether or not it’s possible for an artist to “break”.  So, what does breaking mean?  Traditionally, in the music industry, breaking has meant that an artist has broken through the clutter to reach a national audience, and has started to become a household name.  The idea that on one day, you could have never heard of an artist or band, and the next day every one of your friends is talking about them.

I’ll be using the blog to talk about the different conversations I’ve had with artist, producers, engineers, executives etc…
